The Cottage Kennels is a peaceful countryside retreat run by highly qualified professionals dedicated to providing a serene home away from home. To ensure calm, one-to-one care, we strictly limit our numbers to support every guest's well-being. Whether your dog joins us for boarding, day care, grooming, or a specialised reactive dog stay, they will enjoy a safe and reassuring environment tailored to their individual needs.

Meet the Owners

Behind The Cottage Kennels is Curt and Katie, a soon-to-be husband-and-wife power team with a shared lifelong devotion to dogs. Our own home is proudly ruled by our beloved tribe of Welsh, Irish, and Sealyham Terriers. We absolutely love working side-by-side, combining our strengths, and we are so excited to welcome your best friend into our countryside family.

Katie

Credentials: BSc (Hons) in Animal Management

The Expert: Curt heads up our daily operations, advanced canine husbandry, and physical welfare. With his background in animal management, he is dedicated to tailoring nutrition, managing daily routines, and keeping our facility completely safe, cozy, and spotless.

Fun Fact: Running a premium, small-scale daycare and boarding kennel has been Curt’s lifelong dream—he brings that endless passion and energy to looking after every single dog that walks through our doors.

Credentials: BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare

The Expert: Katie heads up our training, daycare, and specialised reactive dog stays. With a university degree in animal behaviour, she is an expert in canine psychology, body language, and modern, ethical training.

Fun Fact: When she isn't helping our sensitive guests find their calm, Katie works as a professional handler training dogs for high-profile TV, film, and commercials.
